Verde Environmental Co is an environmental consulting company that works with landowners to protect high priority conservation properties across Florida. Verde seeks to deliver competitive returns to landowners through the use of regulations that reward landowners for the restoration and protection of critical natural resources like wetlands, streams, and endangered species.
Justin Fleischman is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Verde. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point in 2004 with a B.S. in Ecosystem Restoration and Management (Soil Science Minor), Justin moved to Florida with a passion for ecosystem design and earned an M.S. in Systems Ecology and Ecological Engineering from the University of Florida in 2010. He began his professional degree in 2007, as an Environmental Scientist. Prior to co-founding Verde Environmental Co. in 2015, he spent 8 years honing his skills in full-time consulting. His responsibilities include stream restoration, wetland restoration, mitigation banking, water quality analysis, hydrological modeling, wetland delineation, habitat assessment, forest ecosystem assessment and prairie restoration, and stormwater wetland management

Scott Blanford the other co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Verde. Scott is a native Floridian, and spent much of his childhood on his family’s farm in Volusia County hunting, fishing, and developing his love of ecosystems. Scott earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Florida before starting work as an Environmental Scientist in 2007. Scott's responsibilities include vegetation monitoring, listed species surveys, wetland delineation, habitat assessment, forest ecosystem assessment, invasive species control, pond management, GIS analysis, mitigation/restoration plans, and stormwater wetland management.
Juliann is the Chief Financial Officer for Verde. She has over 15 years of accounting, finance and marketing experience. Prior to co-founding Verde, she worked for DMEautomotive, a leader in the automotive marketing industry where she served as Accounting Manager coordinating financial reporting as well as budgeting and finance. Prior to joining DMEautomotive, Juliann worked for Ernst & Young and James Moore for five years contributing to several audits in government, manufacturing, healthcare and non-profit audits.
Tristin Joachim is a lead Environmental Scientist for Verde. Tristin graduated in 2020 from the University of Maine with his B.S. in Ecology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Natural Resource Management. He started his professional career with Verde as an Environmental Scientist in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys camping, rock climbing, fishing and hiking. Tristin’s responsibilities include GIS analysis, wetland delineation, listed species surveys, and habitat assessment.
Gustavo Ortiz Vega is an Environmental Technician for Verde. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico, but moved in to obtain his B.S. in Wildlife Ecology with a concentration in Conservation Biology at the University of Maine. Previous positions range from intern to lab and field technician through multiple research projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Responsibilities include wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and assisting clients.
