Listed Species Surveys in Florida

     Florida has a wide variety of federally threatened and endangered species. Regulations exist that protect these species and their habitats from development. Species that are of particular concern to developers in FL include:

     Verde often performs Listed Species Surveys and Environmental Inventory Reports for properties to assess whether any State or Federally Listed Species are present prior to development or purchase.  If a listed species is present, developing the site can get significantly more expensive.

​     The most common solution is to purchase mitigation credits from a species specific mitigation bank, or in the case of Gopher Tortoise, relocate the tortoise to another area of the property that has similar habitat and isn't under construction.  Whatever the case, you can be assured that Verde can get the job done.
