Florida is host to many invasive species due to it's semi tropical climate and its multicultural community. The most problematic species are thoroughly established and here to stay. Complete eradication is no longer possible unless new biological means are developed. However, controlling invasive plant species does not have to be difficult if they are identified early and treated.
Unfortunately, we usually get the call after the invasives have taken over and considerable work needs to be done to remove the seed source and restore the land to a native dominated landscape. Whether that's the case or you just need some light maintenance, we can handle the job. Our scientists are very knowledgeable on what is invasive, nuisance, and desirable and how to treat each accordingly. We are extremely careful with our herbicide applications as to not accidentally kill any desirable vegetation. If feasible, often we will opt for mechanical removal (e.g. hand pulling). We know that the more native species that we leave behind, the better the likelihood that the land won't return to an invasive dominated system.
